July 27, 2009

florida-resident-discounts-at-gatorlandIt’s a pre-dog days sale at Gatorland, the longtime attraction that features gator wrestlin’, the Gator Jumparoo (mmm, chicken) and an expansive breeding marsh with observation tower. Still on display at Gatorland are four leucistic alligators — ivory-skinned, blue-eyed giants. Those who stare into their eyes are said to receive good fortune. And Florida residents can get an eye-full at a discounted rate through July. It’s $8 off for adults and $5 cheaper for the kiddos.

WHEN: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

WHERE: 14501 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando.

COST: $14.99 general, $9.99 ages 3-11. (Rates good through July 31)

Update July 29th:
Gatorland has extended its Florida-resident discount through Sept. 7 - Labor Day. Adult admission to the attraction, which started in 1949, will be $14.99. Proof of residency is required. Children’s admission (ages 3-12) will be $9.99.
