Winter the dolphin (and artist) will work with kids from the Children’s Cancer Center on some very special one-of-a-kind paintings. Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) resident dolphins will paint part of the canvases and the kids will come to CMA to complete them. Kids will paint next to Winter’s pool while she is painting as well. The masterpieces will be displayed in the Aquarium’s theater and will be auctioned on eBay to the highest bidder. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Cancer Center and CMA.

Tuesday, July 21 at 10 a.m., Clearwater Marine Aquarium (located at 249 Windward Passage on Island Estates)

winter-the-dolphin-1Winter the dolphin lost her tail after it got caught in a crab trap line. She was not expected to survive. She did and has a prosthetic tail that is helping her learn to swim like other dolphins. Winter has become an inspiration to people all over the world and serves as a great reminder that people can do anything they put their mind to.
