Summer Camp Held Over!

summercamp-1It’s not too late to give your kids a great summer camp experience. Miami Seaquarium has extended our camp program through Friday, August 21st!

Only at Camp Seaquarium, children learn in a hands-on way how to help save these threatened Florida natives. Camp Seaquarium offers students from kindergarten to high school alternative camp themes with green initiatives and the opportunity to help save our planet by participating in beach clean-ups. And that’s not all. Students from kindergarten to high school will Go Green as they learn about ‘Threats to Biodiversity’. From kinder to fourth grade campers will have the opportunity to learn about Wildlife Exploration, fifth graders will go on an Animal Quest, sixth grade will learn about the amazing ocean predators, the Sharks, and high school students will focus on seals, sea lions, and walruses in ‘Pinniped Studies’. With these themes, campers will enjoy fun-filled days of education and conservation, animal interactions, shows, activities and much more. Camp Seaquarium – Summer 2009 runs from June 8 through August 14th 21st for campers ages 5-18.

Curriculum for each grade level at Camp Seaquarium will revolve on a one-week schedule with additional weeks optional. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 9a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with optional early and late care for an additional charge. Parents who have more than one child participating in Camp Seaquarium and/or who are annual pass holder will receive a discounted rate. Middle and high school students may include a “Dolphin Odyssey” experience for an additional fee.

Triple Summer Fun Extended to September 30!

summersavingIf you haven’t gotten your Summer Savings Pass, its not too late!

The Summer Savings Pass that allows unlimited admission to Miami Metrozoo, Miami Seaquarium and Wannado City has been extended another month and will be valid until September 30, 2009.

The ‘Summer Savings Pass’ is sold for $19.95 plus tax per person with the purchase of a regular-priced general admission at one of the three parks. Existing Annual Pass Holders can upgrade to the Summer Savings Pass for just $9.95 plus tax!

The Humane Society of Greater Miami

humaneDuring the Dog Days of Summer promotion, which runs through October 15, 2009, animal lovers are invited to visit Miami Seaquarium and receive $7.50 off the regular admission cost with coupon or receipt from Petco stores. Coupons are available at participating PETCO stores in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Each coupon or receipt is good for up to 6 people. For every admission with coupon, Miami Seaquarium will donate $1 to the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet. The offer is not combinable with the Miami Seaquarium annual pass or other special offers.

Florida Resident Rates Return To Dolphin Harbor

residentGetting in the water with our dolphins just got better than ever! Starting September 8th through December 18, 2009, Florida residents will enjoy over 30% off all our dolphin interaction programs at Dolphin Harbor.

With this special offer, our Dolphin Odyssey program is $134 plus tax per person (regularly $199 plus tax) and the Dolphin Encounter program is $94 plus tax per person (regularly $139 plus tax). Children 5 through 9 can participate in our Dolphin Encounter program for the discounted price of $68 plus tax (regularly $99 plus tax).

Dolphin Harbor, home to twelve Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins and the park’s dolphin interaction programs, features a 12,000 square foot, 700,000 gallon dolphin pool surrounded by an 8,000 square foot facility that includes a reception area, education seminar room, changing facilities and rest rooms.

Dolphin Harbor offers guests two different dolphin interaction programs. Dolphin Odyssey is a two-hour experience, which includes feeding, touching and learning about these magnificent animals plus the opportunity for a deep-water interaction with a dolphin. Guests must be at least 52 inches tall may participate in the Dolphin Odyssey program.

Dolphin Encounter is a new program that allows guests to wade out into the pool and have a shallow water experience meeting the dolphins. The two-hour program features an educational seminar and the chance to feed and touch a dolphin as well as learn about dolphin training techniques. Dolphin Encounter participants must be at least five years of age and for those children under 9 years, an older sibling or adult must accompany the child as a participant.

Expectant mothers are not allowed to participate in dolphin interaction programs. Program fees include one day’s admission to the park. Ponyo Opens In Theaters Friday, August 14th
