lets-sign-in-the-sun-deaf-awareness-eventThe Department of Environmental Protection’s St. George Island State Park along with Ability 1st is hosting a deaf awareness event. Ability 1st is the Center for Independent Living in North Florida, Inc. Their mission is to empower persons with disabilities to live independently and participate actively in the community. Come to network, find out what new technologies or ideas are out there, discover what your rights are or come to pick up some independent living skills. This will be a family friendly day in the sun. Come to make new friends or catch up with old ones.

Directions: Access to St. George Island is via a 4 mile bridge that is accessible from Eastpoint, Florida. Eastpoint is located approximately 75 miles southwest of Tallahassee, Florida. The park is located on the east end of St. George Island.
