4th of July Bazaar at Flamingo Gardens

4th of July Bazaar at Flamingo Gardens, Saturday 9:30-4:30, with jewelry, arts, crafts, photos, antiques, collectibles, gifts and other surprises. There are lots of vendors inside the buildings this year, so don’t worry about the weather. Admission is only 1/2 price that day so you pay $8.50 for ages 12 and up, $4.25 for ages 4-11, children under 4 are free. Admission includes the gardens, native wildlife exhibits, tours of historic Wray Home, and live Wildlife Encounter Shows; the Tour by Tram is extra. Shop at the 4th of July Bazaar, at Flamingo Gardens on Saturday from 9:30-4:30, for jewelry, arts and crafts, photos, antiques and collectibles, art glass, ceramics, figurines, t-shirts, puzzles, wall hangings, sunglasses, hats, sports collectibles, crocheted blankets, toys, diaper and bridal shower cakes, hand-painted glassware and picture frames, memory boxes, gifts and other surprises. There are lots of vendors inside the buildings this year, so don’t worry about the weather. In honor of the 4th, bring your camera and take photos with George and Martha Washington from 10-2, and be sure to visit the bald eagles on America’s birthday.

The event is included with admission, as well as the botanical gardens, free-flight aviary with 43 species of birds, Birds of Prey exhibit including eagles, owls and hawks, and flamingos, panthers, bobcats, otters, and alligators, tortoises and turtles. Wildlife Encounter Shows are presented live throughout the day. Tour historic 1930s Wray Home open from 10-4. The 20-minute narrated tour by tram, on the hour from 11 to 4, is additional. Food and ice cold beverages are available at the Tropical Marketplace and Flamingo Cafe, so plan on spending the whole day. Visit the courtyard Gift and Garden Shops. Parking is free.

Flamingo Gardens is a 60-acre botanical paradise and wildlife sanctuary which exhibits and cares for permanently injured native birds and animals that cannot survive in the wild, and provides educational programs for school and camp children. A not-for-profit organization, it is supported solely by admissions, proceeds from events, donations, visitor purchases and memberships.
