A ‘Watery Wonderland’ Key Largo

At 4PM “Beach Goes Pops” kicks in with music, great food, beverages and a wonderful susnet . You will enjoy Jazz music which starts at 7:30PM.

We have a Ferry in Florida!

key-west-ferryWho would have thought that us people on the West Coast of Florida can avoid the dreaded US1 road and 7+ hour’s drive to get to sunny Key West! Well … here I am going to tell you how!   My dear friend from Switzerland came to visit me in Tampa in November.  I spent days researching what could we do besides Busch Gardens or Universal Studios.  In my extensive search to find something that will impress my lovely friend, as she comes from such a beautiful country, I came across the Key West Express.  Pardon my ignorance but I had no idea that there was a Ferry in Florida! The action starts when you hit the water with Adventure Water Sports - they are your premier destination for fun in the sun on beautiful Ft. Myers Beach Florida. You can enjoy the water the way you want either on their wave runners, kayaks and sail boats or you can enjoy a relaxing guided dolphin tour around the island. You can sit back and relax or be as active as you would love to be. If you don’t want to be as active as that, you can sit back in their comfortable beach chairs with umbrella and table.

Mid morning through lunch at the Kelly Greens Golf and Country Club - this golf and country club is situated between Sanibel Island and Ft. Myers Beach. There is an 18 hole, Champion golf course that will challenge you. You can also experience the feeding times where you can see many reclusive marine specimens, you can touch a starfish and if you want to put your head in the mouth of a shark the ability to do so is available. You can see how sea turtles hatch and much more…

Rest up before taking a cruise…

Sunset Dolphin Cruises at Adventures in Paradise… location - 14341 Port Comfort Road Fort Myers Florida - Phone 239-472-8443. This is a pleasant cruise on the waters of San Carlos Bay, out by Bird Island to experience hundreds of birds flocking in for the evening roost and then along the coastline while watching dolphins play. This cruise goes for 90 minutes and you can relax to tropical music and a complimentary glass of champagne.

Dinner and nightlife at Gulfshore Grill which is close to the Lighthouse. This is a great place to eat especially if you love beachfront dining. The Gulfshore Grill is located on Estero Island Ft. Myers. And they have entertainment at the Cottage 7 nights a week from 9pm to 1am. Their historic Beachfront Restaurant has a rustic beach bar and great food from shrimp to chicken to beef meals and some incredible entrees.
