A Kick Back & Relax Day in South Beach Miami

July 4, 2016

I never thought I would say it but sometimes you should just kick back and relax and have fun and you can do that in South Beach. There are so many things you can do but you can’t do it all in one day and if you’ve just arrived in Florida this day will help you soak up the incredible atmosphere and get you into the swing of things before you move on to your next destination.

World famous South Beach is known as SoBe by the locals. Many people around the world know that SoBe is known for its incredible nightlife, fine dining, its history and it has an Art Deco area that many want to experience. There is so much to experience in SoBe and with this small itinerary available to you, you can kick back, relax and enjoy a day in South Beach Miami.

Breakfast at the Front Porch Café: It’s time to have a lazy morning, starting with a late breakfast at the Front Porch Café - 1418 Ocean Drive Miami Beach Florida - 305 531 8300. The Front Porch Café has been voted the best breakfast in town for quite a few years so it would be silly to miss this opportunity to enjoy the view of South Beach.

It’s time to discover the child within - go skating or bike riding and see South Beach just like the locals. This to see some popular destinations such as Ocean Drive, South Point Part, historic Espanola Way, the Holocaust Memorial and Lincoln Road Mall. Or if you prefer you can take the scenic route and stroll over the Venetian Causeway and see many of the beautiful multi-million dollar water front homes.

You can rent inline skates or bicycles from Fritz’s Miami Beach - they also have loads of protective gear and they can teach you how to skate and ride if need be. You can find Fritz’s Miami Beach Skate, Bike and Surf at 1620 Washington Ave Miami Beach, FL 33139 - Phone 305.532.1954

Time to soak up the sun. There is never any time frame here especially if you love kicking back and relaxing. After your incredible skating or bike riding experience, you can relax under the sun at Lummus Beach. Most of South Beach’s sand is open to the public which allows you to enjoy the water. You can sunbathe topless if you wish, it’s up to you.

Take a lunch break at Mango’s Tropical Cafe - One of the hottest clubs on Ocean Drive, Mango’s features sexy salsa music, Reggae, Latin and Caribbean music, live entertainment, cabarets and they have a great menu. Sizzling salsa dancers strut their stuff on top of its bar. Mango’s Tropical Café is open from 12 noon to 4am so you can keep going back throughout the day or sit back and let the afternoon slip by.

Shopping and entertainment. South Beach is also known for its entertainment and great shopping areas. So with that in mind, head over to Lincoln Road. It’s now closed to automobile traffic between Washington Avenue and Lenox Avenue this allows you to see some of the latest fashions and there is also a steady stream of street performers that are there to entertain shoppers. Lincoln Road is a very popular destination for many visitors and tourists to South Beach.
