A Day of Paradise in Key Biscayne Florida

July 4, 2016

It’s almost like spending a day in paradise, where you can experience many outdoor recreational activities such as bicycling, playing tennis, golf, fishing, windsurfing, kite boarding or sailing. And that is just a few things you can do in this incredible place some would call paradise.

Key Biscayne is a tropical island paradise just six miles off the coast of Miami Florida and with so many things to do here is a small itinerary to get you started.

Stroll along the beach - the white sandy beaches are so inviting and a stroll along the beach is the perfect way to start your day in paradise. The sun, the water and the intimate and beautiful atmosphere is the ultimate holiday that anyone would love to experience.

Scuba Diving - There is a 727 aircraft sunk in about 60 feet of water just off Key Biscayne Beach which is perfect if you want to go scuba diving. Of course if you prefer to look at the reefs you will soon discover that the water from the beach gets deeper at a slight angle and at 8 - 12 feet there is sea grass and natural live reefs that provide a barrier for Key Biscayne. This depth stays the same for over one mile offshore and it slowly gets deeper to 30 feet, 45, 60 feet and 100 feet.

Paddle a Kayak on Key Biscayne and take a picnic lunch

Throughout Key Biscayne & Virginia Key, there are several places you can rent all types of kayaks, boats and windsurfing gear. This is a great way to see some of the incredible and mystical places in paradise. Kayaking is a fun sport and it can be enjoyed by everyone including families.

Key Biscayne offers miles of safe, shallow water ways for kayaking parties to access complete and diverse environments… you can even kayak over shallow flats past sea urchins and inches over the sea grass of Key Biscayne into the waters where you may get to see Manatees and dolphins play.

There is plenty of room in a kayak to take a cooler filled with lots of goodies for a picnic lunch. You can find somewhere very private in the mangrove channels for a relaxing and enjoyable lunchtime feast.

Before kayaking you can organize a box & picnic luncheon to take with you when you paddle a kayak. The Ritz-Carlton can pack this for you. You can create your favorite luncheon to take with you - this luncheon includes a sandwich, salad and dessert.
