A Bustling Day in Miami Beach Florida

August 7, 2009

Miami Beach

Miami Beach has so much to offer but unfortunately you can’t experience everything in one day. So for this itinerary we are going to spend a little time in some areas that take in Collins Avenue, Lincoln Road & Washington Avenue.

A friend who was planning on flying into Miami Florida asked me to set up an itinerary for her and her partner for the Miami Beach area. She wanted to experience something a little different that included the bustling atmosphere but at the same time keeping the day simple… This was to be their first day in Miami and they wanted impact and an impression that would last a life time…

Miami Beach is all about great beaches and pools, adventures, sunbathing beauties, rollerblading the walkways and some incredible eateries and we try to include some different places to visit and we hope you enjoy our sunrise to sunset day and beyond in Miami Beach Florida.

Miami Beach SunriseWatching the sunrise over Miami Beach is incredible - the gorgeous sun on the water is romantic and very spectacular. The idea here is to find a comfortable seat, sit back and relax and let the sun rise in front of you. The glistening water, the birds singing as their first day in Miami begins is a very spectacular moment.

Visit Espanola Way - if you enjoy beauty, if you enjoy the arts then it’s time to visit the incredible arts and crafts exhibits on Sundays on Espanola Way - this is where you will find some incredible unique works that tourists and the locals really enjoy.

Shopping in Miami Beach - now this is an exciting adventure for all tourists who want to experience something a little different. The shops in Lincoln Road are one of the city’s trademarks. Lincoln Road Mall Lincoln Road bustles with music especially on a Sunday. There is a seven block pedestrian mall that is home to over 400 businesses and includes places like beautiful art galleries, designer boutiques and specialty stores. Some of these stores you won’t find anywhere else in Florida.

Enjoy lunchtime in Miami Beach. With some incredible restaurants and lunch time venues available the cuisine choices are amazing. Sushi Siam serves Thai delights and Sushi and you can sit back and people watch - they might be walking, skating, dancing or bicycling by. If you prefer pizza or other delights the amazing variances are there for your choosing.

Bass Museum of Art

Start the afternoon on a slower note by visiting the Bass Museum of Art located at 2121 Park Avenue Miami Beach Florida - just a short way from Collins Park - Phone: 305-673-7530. Spend time looking at the incredible exhibitions and collections available. The Bass Museum of Art is to collect and exhibit some of the finest art the world has to offer from the past to the present. This is a place for people that appreciate fine art pieces from around the world. The Bass Museum of Art is the centerpiece of the city’s historic district.

Miami Duck Tours - a land and sea adventure that takes approximately 90 minutes. It runs daily and the tour departs from Miami Beach. This tour is done in an amphibious vehicle that provides a once in a lifetime journey of the famous Miami landmarks before an incredible and very dramatic splashdown into the beautiful Biscayne Bay - this is where you can get a close up look at the many of the homes of the ‘rich and famous’ on Star Island. Tours book out quickly so ensure you purchase tickets in advance. Location - 1665 Washington Avenue Miami Beach Florida - 786-276-8300.

Dinner in Miami Beach - Miami Beach restaurants are some of the best in the world. The city’s famous multiculturalism is evidenced in its restaurants, where just about any cuisine imaginable can be found.

Dine at Santo Miami Beach on Lincoln Road - Santo is a fine restaurant that transforms into a trendy nightclub so you can party the night away. Santo’s ‘dinner, lounge, live music and tasty drinks’ mottos is chic to Miami and if you want the best then this is the place to be.
